Top Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Dylan Bundy is
dealing with a mild elbow issue, according to Steve Melewski of MASN Sports.
General manager Dan Duquette confirmed the injury in a text
"Dylan has some mild tightness in his right elbow which
he is resting until it's resolved, which we expect will be in a couple of
days," Duquette wrote via text.
Bundy’s velocity had been noticeably down during the spring,
though his results were still solid. Last season, the 20-year-old maintained an
ERA of 2.08 across three levels of the Orioles’ minors – low-, high- and
Double-A. He entered the spring considered the second best prospect in all of
the game by Baseball America and MLB.com.
At this point, it’s not clear if Bundy’s injury will cause
him to miss the start of the Double-A season, which begins on Thursday.
