Baltimore Orioles righthander Chris Tillman was sent to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday night, right after another poor outing.
Tillman surrendered six runs, eight hits and three in 2 2/3 innings of a 6-3 loss to the White Sox. In his last four outings, Tillman has given up 17 runs, 26 hits and eight walks over 18 1/3 innings.
Tillman fell to 3-5 with a 5.52 ERA this season. He was thought to be remaining in the rotation for the rest of the season following Jake Arietta's season-injury.
Tillman also was sent to the minors in late May, returning last month.
