Next time the Milwaukee Bucks are together, they might need name tags.
A day after being swept out of their first playoff appearance in three years, the Bucks began scattering Monday for what is sure to be a chaotic offseason. Luc Mbah a Moute, Larry Sanders, Ersan Ilyasova and rookie John Henson are the only key players under contract for next season. J.J. Redick and Mike Dunleavy are unrestricted free agents. Brandon Jennings also is expected to test the market. Jennings is a restricted free agent, so the Bucks can match any offer for him.
Monta Ellis has an $11 million player option. While that's a lot of money to pass up, he could be swayed if someone offers a multi-year deal.
BEST OF MAXIM
Brandon Jennings is starting sway back and forth like a palm tree.
For the past few months, Jennings has been throwing subtle hints through the media that he was looking to escape Milwaukee. He turned down a 4-year $40 million contract extension from the Bucks, said that he wants to play for a contender and has voiced his displeasure with coaching decisions on more than one occasion...
MILWAUKEE It just felt inevitable.
Though they hung around for most of the game, the Milwaukee Bucks just seemed destined for a slow death Sunday afternoon in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
Even the stadium emcee thanked the fans at halftime and shouted to the fans that there were only 24 minutes left in Bucks playoff basketball right before the third quarter...
Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings is scheduled to be a restricted free agent this off-season. Meaning that he could sign an offer sheet with another team and the Bucks would have an opportunity to match that offer. It was assumed that Jennings wanted to play elsewhere next season after turning down a 4-year, $40 [...]
ST. FRANCIS, Wis. -- With eight players either entering free agency or with options for next season, the Milwaukee Bucks will have a lot of decisions to make before training camp rolls around in the fall.
One of those decisions will have to be made on veteran small forward Mike Dunleavy, a valuable piece of Milwaukee's roster the past two seasons. Though he is free to sign with...
ST. FRANCIS, Wis. -- As the Milwaukee Bucks slowly but steadily arrived at the Cousins Center on Monday for exit interviews with general manager John Hammond, the mood was certainly not one of a team that had just accomplished one of its major goals for the 2012-13 season.
Sure, the Bucks made the playoffs, an experience that can only benefit players down the road, but the feeling...
Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings was hoping to go out in style, but what style, exactly, was he even going for?
Despite speculation surrounding his future in the NBA, Gustavo Ayon expects the Milwaukee Bucks to pick up the team option on his contract for next season and is looking forward to returning, his agent Emilio Duran told RealGM.
The Bucks traded for Ayon in the deal that brought them J.J. Redick, and the organization insisted that the Orlando Magic include Ayon. From the start, the...
Mike Dunleavy signed a two-year contract with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2011 and will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Heading into free agency, Dunleavy believes he will definitely consider returning to the Bucks and liked his situation over the past two seasons.
"I like being here; I grew up here," Dunleavy said. "I signed as a free agent here. I'm...
The Milwaukee Bucks made the playoffs this year for only the second time since 2006-07. The NFL draft takes place each and every year. But that didn't stop the vast majority of sports fans in the Milwaukee area from tuning into the draft last Thursday, rather than Game 3 of the Bucks' first-round series with the Miami Heat.
From Bob Wolfley of the Milwaukee Journal...
Brandon Jennings didn't play in the fourth quarter, and there's no telling if he'll ever play for the Milwaukee Bucks again.
Jennings and the rest of the Bucks headed into an offseason of uncertainty Sunday night after being swept out of the playoffs by the Miami Heat. The 88-77 loss was the fourth straight by double digits for Milwaukee, and the Bucks couldn't even...
A competitive game of Jeopardy seems to be on the horizon
The Duke trio of J.J. Redick, Shane Battier and Mike Dunleavy are in a battle of who would win in a game of Jeopardy. It probably would be more competitive than the current Milwaukee/Miami first round playoff series the three are currently involved in. Of course barring an upset for the ages, Battier is likely to win that...
On Sunday, the Miami Heat dispatched Milwaukee, 88-77, to complete a clean sweep of the eight-seeded Bucks. Here's some fun facts from the series.
