It’s Michigan State vs. Georgia in the Outback Bowl today and that means the educated beasts from UGA are showing a national ABC audience their spelling prowess. At first we were like maybe this is some sort of alternate spelling for Dawgs that the locals use. Maybe this was a Photoshop job. Maybe we’ve just been drinking too much and reading that wrong. Then we did a search on Twitter. This, in fact, is the real deal. Good work, SEC.

Michigan State must accept that Georgia will make some plays. The Bulldogs have great athletes.
First things first, congrats to Michigan State. They took advantage of Georgia's mistakes and turned them into points. They are the best bowl opponent we've faced in the Richt era and probably since Ohio State in '92. They played extremely well in the second half and their last TD drive was a thing of precision.

The 47th edition of the Great Lakes Invitational ended in dramatic fashion. The Wolverines battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits against the Michigan State Spartans, scoring a goal in the final minute of regulation before winning it in overtime.
I only got to see the third period and overtime. The Spartans outshot Michigan 11-7 in the first period, but outside of a few checks...
Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio met with the media on New Year's Day morning for the final time before the Outback Bowl.
