Turner Motorsports announced on Monday that Trent Ownes will be crew chief for the No. 50 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chevrolet entry for driver Bill Elliott at Daytona International Speedway on July 7.

Turner Motorsports, which fields multiple entries full-time in the Nationwide and Camping World Truck series, plans to make its Sprint Cup debut at Daytona with the No. 50. Owensâ€™ regular job with the Turner organization is crew chief on the No. 30 Nationwide Series team. The No. 30 fielded by Turner in that series is driven by several drivers throughout the year.
