Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger return from a knee injury was short-lived. He’s once again experiencing discomfort in his knee, and he’ll be sidelined for at least the next week while the Pacers evaluate his injury, according to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe.Danny Granger will miss the next week with knee soreness #pacers #celtics— gary washburn (@GwashNBAGlobe) March 6, 2013 Granger played eight minutes of the first half in his first game back from knee surgery. He proceeded to sit out the entire second half and said after the game that he was experiencing soreness in his surgically-repaired knee.The Pacers did announce some good news yesterday when they said an MRI showed no new damage to Granger’s knee. They will continue to sit him and he’ll be re-evaluated in a week’s time.If Granger is able to return after missing the next week, this wouldn’t be especially concerning to the Pacers. They’ve made it this far without their former star, and they are currently holding the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. However, if they hope to make a deep run in the playoffs, they could certainly use a healthy Granger.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");

Danny Granger, who made his season debut February 23rd after missing over three months due to a knee injury, will sit out to rest and receive treatments on his sore left knee and be re-evaluated next week. The Pacers forward is averaging 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 15 minutes off of the bench since returning. According to Pacers: The Indiana Pacers announced Wednesday that forward...

Danny Granger out tonight for Pacers, why that's not a good thing for Boston

According to CSNNE's Greg Dickerson, Pacers forward Danny Granger has re-aggrevated his knee injury, and will miss tonight's game against the Celtics. Granger out for pacers tonight and out for up to a week — greg dickerson (@gdickerson_csn) March 6, 2013 In past seasons, this would be a huge break for the C's. After all, from 2007-12 (5 seasons) Granger averaged...

Pacers Take Over The Local News

The Indiana Pacers joined  joined WTHR, an NBC affiliate, on Tuesday and took over the newsroom. Ben Hansbrough attempted to get his footing right in the weather segment while older bro, Tyler was in for the play-by-play and called the HS game-winner from earlier this week. D.J. Augustin manned the control room, Lance Stephenson scrolled through the teleprompter and George Hill...

Mike Tyson Bites Roy Hibbert’s Face to Show Steph Curry How To Fight (Video)

  Mike Tyson is kind of like the crazy drunk uncle who shows up during the holidays–or in this case, the set of ESPN’s Sports Nation.  The now much more ‘lovable’ Tyson went on his usually incoherent rant before demonstrating on a punching bag just how Steph Curry should’ve handled the much bigger Roy Hibbert during last week’s Pacers vs Warriors brawl. As predicted...

Green Envy: What Pacers Fans Said - 3/6

Boston came up with one of their best wins of the year, scoring 11 straight points down the stretch to take down the Indian Pacers, 83-81. Pacer's fans began the game in a merry mood, only to have their hearts ripped out by the clutch Celtic run, ending on Jeff Green's last-second layup. The Top 3 Somehow our Basketball IQ went from Phil Jackson to Javale McGee in less...

Celtics-Pacers Preview

The Indiana Pacers have surged into second place in the Eastern Conference and have an excellent chance to win their first Central Division title in nine years. Anything beyond that may involve getting past the Boston Celtics. In a possible playoff preview, Indiana seeks an eighth victory in nine tries Wednesday night by preventing visiting Boston from extending its winning streak...

Pacers-Magic Preview

Although the Indiana Pacers are a defensive-oriented team, Frank Vogel knows they must improve offensively to have any success in the playoffs. A matchup with lowly Orlando would seemingly be what they need, but the Magic are coming off a surprising defensive showing - albeit in a losing effort - and they also shut down the Pacers in the season's first meeting. Central Division...

Celtics Stun Pacers at the Buzzer 83-81

The Celtics faced off against the second best team in the Eastern Conference Wednesday on the road in Indiana. This was the team's second of back to back games after coming off a solid win against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team faced a tall task literally and metaphorically against a Pacers team that hold's the best defense in the NBA. The Pacers also have one of the...

Gutsy win: Boston Celtics rally to beat Indiana Pacers 83-81

Let me be honest: This game was billed as a potential playoff preview but Indiana is a team I’d rather avoid. The Pacers are a very good team, probably the only real challenger to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference. A Celtics-Pacers series sounds like a more graceful version of last year’s grindy Celtics-76ers tilt, except this time the odds wouldn’t be in the Celtics...
