Green Bay Press Gazette:
The Packers have released receiver Jake Allen, the team announced moments ago.Allen was signed to the active roster Oct. 27, when Brett Swain was placed on injured reserve, and played five days later against Minnesota. But Allen promptly sustained a quadriceps injury, forcing the team to sign another receiver from the practice squad, Biren Ealy, and hadn't played the past two games. The Packers likely will try to re-sign Allen back to the practice squad. They did not announce any move for filling Allen's roster spot.-- Tom Pelissero, tpelisse@greenbaypressgazette.comhttp://twitter.com/tompelissero
