GREEN BAY, Wis. -- With Tom Crabtree gone, the Green Bay Packers found a tight end to replace him, signing Matthew Mulligan.
Mulligan, 28, spent last season with the St. Louis Rams where he had a career-high eight receptions. Mulligan went undrafted out of Maine in 2008 and played three seasons for the New York Jets from 2008-2011. In three years with the Jets, Mulligan totaled only six catches.
But the Packers didn't sign Mulligan for his pass-catching ability. Mulligan is, however, a very good run-blocker. Last season, 262 of his 411 snaps were on running plays, according to ProFootballFocus.com, which graded Mulligan with a positive run-blocking rating.
Mulligan will compete with snaps at tight end in Green Bay with Jermichael Finley, Andrew Quarless, D.J. Williams, Ryan Taylor and practice-squad member Brandon Bostick.

The episode, titled "Sante Fe," airs at 8...

But get him on a sun-splashed beach in Florida and McCarthy’s icy demeanor melts a bit, especially when a couple of Packers fans in love ask...

After coach Mike McCarthy snapped a photo with one half of the couple, he was then asked to take a picture for the couple. Suddenly, McCarthy found himself as the official photographer for a memorable wedding proposal.
