New Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says they are in a deep search for a striker. The Chilean born manager joined the Manchester club in July after the departure of Roberto Mancini who was sucked before the season ended. After their star striker Carloz Tevez left for about £10m to Juventus in July, this means Manchester City have only two original forwards in their squad which is Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero. This is what Pellegrini said when he faced the media for the first time since he was appointed as the new manager at the Ethied “we need a quality striker but I can not reveal who is our target for now. This is a big club that needs to have quality players in and if we can get a third striker we will be happy” says the former Malaga manager Manchester City are reported to be very interested in Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic who is valued at around £27m, and they might make a surprise move Liverpool unsettled striker Luiz Suarez who admitted that he wants to play UEFA Champions League football next season. Manuel Pellegrini will first be in charge of Manchester City when they tour South Africa and they will first face Supersport United on the 14th of July before heading to Durban to lock horns with Amazulu four days later.
