CJ Sports NFL Talk:
As we all sit and enjoy the coronation of the NBA’s next generational star, one cannot help but wonder what sports icon needs to learn from the King James experience. LeBron James needed to win a championship more than he wanted to win a championship, the same can be said about Philadelphia Eagles‘ quarterback, Michael Vick.
Much like James, Vick had the King Midas touch and relished being the gold standard by which players were judged. Also, much like James, Vick’s acclaim did not match his achievement. Both players entered their prospective leagues with unbridled fanfare and hype.
James handled the hype with maturity well beyond his years. Conversely, Vick stumbled at every pass and would eventually find himself behind the Great Steel Gate.
BEST OF MAXIM
Michael Vick energized the Eagles and the city of Philadelphia when he took over as the starting quarterback during the 2010 season. In fact, he played so well that many analysts and experts were thinking Super Bowl for the rejuvenated Eagles last season. Instead, Vick put together a disappointing season that was marred by injuries and the team failed to qualify for the postseason...
Its always seemed like a long shot, but the prospect of King James working for the Phoenix Suns remains little more than a full-court heave.
For the record, were not referring to the notion of LeBron James taking his talents and restored legacy to South Mountain. No, the James were referencing is Harden, the former Arizona State star who is hauling last seasons NBA Sixth Man of...
Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick took every snap in practice on Monday, according to Eagles beat writer Jaff McLane.Fantasy Spin:Vick was bothered by rib injuries for much of the last year and again in preseason. The Eagles had a special flak jacket built for him to help solve the problem, but not holding the ball so long is the ultimate solution. He'll be ready to go on opening day.
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is feeling the urgency to win in the city of Philadelphia and says they need to win and win right now.
“We feel like there is a need to win, and win quickly,” Vick said Monday, via the AP per NFL.com.
Vick says Eagles head coach has encouraged them to remain focused.
“Coach Reid talked to us today about staying the course, maintaining our...
I don’t think people realize how much pressure Michael Vick is under this year. If Andy Reid gets fired he will be fine. He will have choice of head coaching or TV jobs, but Vick is a different story. He is trying to get to the back end of his $100 million contract and the [...]

While the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to easily beat their Week 1 opponent, the Cleveland Browns, much of the first half of their schedule will be an uphill battle.
How tough are we talking? Six of Philadelphia’s first eight opponents reached the playoffs in 2011. That doesn’t leave a lot of wiggle room.
When Mike Vick said that the Eagles...
Dime Magazine compiled a list of the 10 best LeBron James/Dwyane Wade alley-oops, but why focus on ten when we can re-live this one magical moment: Dwyane Wade has that Andre Miller throwing arm and you know what I said when I saw this during the game? HOLLLLYYYYYYY SHHHHHEEEEEEEE-IIIITTTTTTTTTT!
Mike Vick’s run may have saved a program
The Virginia Tech Hokies will open their 2012 season at home tonight against Georgia Tech with one of the many reasons we love college football to set the tone. The Hokies look to have another solid team ready to go this season, with Logan Lloyd under center, a dependable running game supporting him and a traditionally stingy Virginia Tech...

After just a short amount of practices and pre-season games, Redskins receiver Josh Morgan has been impressed with rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Morgan thinks Griffin can be the best running quarterback in the league, the best passer in the league...
Michael Vick was obviously on the team, so was 3rd round pick Nick Foles, even if he hadn’t stepped up in Mike Kafka’s absence and nailed down the #2 quarterback job, despite the team viewing him as a developmental 3rd quarterback at the start of the offseason. Kafka went from primary backup to injured to 3rd string and when he returned, he found that Trent Edwards...
