Macho Row:

A couple days ago the Phillies announced that eight of their prospects would be participating in the Arizona Fall League this year. Top prospect Domonic Brown highlights the participants from the Phillies. Brown will play for the Scottsdale Scorpions along with seven fellow Phillies prospects.Brown has already been promoted from single A Clearwater to double A Reading this season and looks to improve his game and prepare to make a run for triple A Lehigh Valley in 2009. The Phillies marked Brown as an untouchable prospect while attempting to make a deal with Toronto for Roy Halladay.
Joining Brown will be pitchers Scott Mathieson, Mike Zagurski, Michael Cisco, Michael Schwimer, catcher Tuffy Gosewisch, infielder Troy Hanzawa, and outfielder Steve Susdorf.
The Arizaon Fall League starts October 13 and runs through November 19. A rising stars game will be played November 7 with the best players in the league and the championship game will be played November 21.
Expect daily updates here on Macho Row, although I expect to be slightly pre-occupied with post season coverage for most of the AFL's schedule.
