Five universities have partnered with Kellogg’s on limited edition Pop Tarts. The Pop Tarts are dubbed “printed fun,” and they feature school logos. The flavor also has a reference to the school’s athletic teams. 2013 Football Recruiting: Florida Gators Lose Joshua Outlaw; Offensive Guard Decommits

Take a moment and try to come up with every appropriate canned saying or song title you can think of. They all probably have the same general theme – “Another One Bites The Dust.” That’s how the Florida Gators are feeling at the moment with the decommitment of offensive guard Joshua Outlaw. A three-star guard from Lithonia, GA (Martin Luther King), Outlaw has decided to reopen...

Gators ready to find answers to key questions

GAINESVILLE, Fla. The Gators get to rest Sunday other than for some afternoon meetings. For the first time since fall camp opened the players won't have to slip on their helmets and practice. Meanwhile, the coaches have perhaps their most important day of camp. Gators coach Will Muschamp referred to Sunday as Decision Day. "We need to start making decisions on who is...

Video moments from Saturday's practice

The Florida Gators had their first open Fall practice of the Will Muschamp era on Saturday. The kind folks at GatorVision offered up a couple of minutes of video and we have it for you. It is always fun when the boys of the gridiron finally strap on the pads in the stadium and even better when we can watch. We hope you enjoy.

Pre-Season Overrated teams: Florida Gators

Last year, we at TSR did a small preview of some teams that we believed were ranked too high to start the season. We did OK, nailing Miami, Florida, and Ohio State. Now, it's time to do that to the 2012 polls.Starting at the bottom....FloridaAP: #23Athlon: unrankedUSA Today: #23Capsule after the jump....The Gators start at the bottom of the polls this year, but have bigger question...

Florida TE Thompson sidelined with ankle injury

Florida tight end Colin Thompson will have surgery to insert a screw in his right foot, an injury that could sideline him at least two months. The 6-foot-4 freshman from Warminster, Pa., had been expected to play a key role for the 23rd-ranked Gators this season. Making matters worse at the position, Jordan Reed has missed the last week of practice with a knee injury. Coach Will...

No. 23 Florida ready to make roster decisions

Two weeks before the season opener, No. 23 Florida held a rare, open practice Saturday in The Swamp. The Gators better hope it's not an indication of things to come. About 1,000 fans showed up for a two-hour session in full pads that coach Will Muschamp called a ''little sluggish.'' Florida's offense, led by competing quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett and Jeff...

Practice Observations: Offense

There wasn’t much debate that the Florida defense won almost every area of Saturday’s open practice, but there were still individual players on the Florida offense that had good days. The Gators showed the ability to run the ball against a stout front seven, and while the passing game will need work before the opener on September 1, head coach Will Muschamp remains happy with...

Journey Ends This Season for Hines

There might not be a player on the Florida roster that understands the new offense better than Omarius Hines. The redshirt senior has lined up all over the field during spring installation and fall camp. He came to Florida as a receiver and split some time at tight end before moving to running back in the spring. Now, his versatility could be a big part of the Gators’ attack.

Practice Observations: Defense

Cody Jones and I split up The Swamp on Saturday to try and bring you the best coverage two guys can of your Florida Gators at practice. I stuck with the defensive side while watching from the East stands and Cody was on offense and in the West stands. Here is a look at what I saw on defense with a few nuggets from Cody along the way.
