We’ve told you before that no part of the football uniform is safe these days — teams are going to swag out every article of clothing possible in order to impress recruits and stay fresh. Tomorrow vs. Mississippi State, the Kentucky Wildcats will be wearing something that we’ve never seen before — 3-D thigh pads that will display the school logo embossed through the players’ pants:

I’m not so sure that this trend will catch on everywhere, but it’s definitely something new to mix things up.
BEST OF MAXIM
Yeah, the World Series is on but isn’t it more interesting when a terrible SEC team takes on another terrible SEC team and wears thigh pads with logos? That’s what I thought! Check these UK themed thigh pads out. They are taking the uniform game to the next level. If only they can win a game or two. If the Kentucky Wildcats beat Mississippi State tonight, Dan Mullen is officially...
Yesterday during his talking, but NOT discussing injuries, with the media portion of his day, Dan Mullen said that he and his players treat Kentucky, who is Mississippi State's permanent East opponent, as "a little bit" of a rivalry game. While that's probably a stretch because KENTUCKY FOOTBALL, I hope both teams treat it as such tonight, as it is a terrible...
Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops was clearly upset with the call the referees made during their game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs and went completely ballistic during the game. Stoops definitely took a page out of Bobby Knight’s playbook on this tirade.

While calling the Kentucky Wildcats-Mississippi State Bulldogs game on Thursday night, Rece Davis made a joke about Mark May losing weight. In an attempt to follow up the joke, David Pollack called Mark May “tan,” making for an extremely awkward few seconds during ESPN’s broadcast. It only took Mississippi State five plays to get on the scoreboard tonight against Kentucky. On 3rd-and-6 from their own 40-yard line, Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott was able to escape pressure and find his tight end, Malcolm Johnson, down the field for a 60-yard touchdown. There wasn’t even anyone else in the picture when Johnson caught the ball.
For whatever reasons beating Kentucky doesn’t easily for the Dan Mullen and Mississippi State. Yet win they do, if this 28-22 victory demanded a Bulldog defensive stand that was just fine by the coach. “Hoooo-eeee!” he said. “We keep everybody tuned in right to the last minute, don’t we?”
Mississippi State Bulldogs punter Devon Bell did exactly what he was not supposed to do: Fumble a perfectly good snap out of the end zone for a safety.
Former Florida Gator Jesse Palmer stated that he thinks Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott is a better running quarterback than Tim Tebow and Alex Smith.
Thursday night will be the first time in Mark Stoops’ career as a head coach that he does not face a team ranked in the Top 20. That doesn’t mean it will be any easier for his 1-5 Wildcats to walk away with the win on the road. Mississippi State used to be a game that Kentucky fans looked forward to. The Bulldogs always seemed to share the cellar of the SEC, giving the ‘Cats...

It wasn’t just observers confused last week when many Bulldogs walked off the practice field wearing shirts with names and numbers not matching the faces. Even Mississippi State staff were thrown off, Preston Smith said. “I think Coach Turner got kind of confused one time, watching film he was yelling at the wrong person!”
