Season 41 for the Royals.Folks, I have taken a couple of blogging days off to work on a book that I can't provide details on just yet, but will be able to soon. However, I just wanted to pop in and offer up a prediction regarding the news that Jose Guillen's torn knee ligament. Actually, make that two predictions. First, I'd be shocked if he returns this year. Ten weeks was the prognosis which, by my crude calculations, is pretty much the rest of the season. The other forecast has a little more meat: The Royals will score more runs per game without Guillen in the lineup. To date, KC has scored 3.95 runs per game. That's the number to beat. I'll elaborate more on my reasons for this prediction in a post over the weekend. read more
