Lambo struck out in his other four at-bats. He’s starting to hit for some power again, but otherwise has been struggling. Coming into this game he had a .254/.296/.418 line in 67 at-bats in July, with 23 strikeouts. Vic Black made his first appearance in ten days, with the long break due to the Triple-A All-Star break. He had been struggling this month, with a .650 OPS heading into this game. However, he’s 11-for-35 with three doubles, a triple, and a homer in his last eight games. Stetson Allie picked up his 11th double for Bradenton, and his fifth in his last ten games. He also walked for the seventh time in the last eight games. Jose Osuna had his second three hit game in three days, and had three doubles on the night. Meadows isn’t hitting for average yet, but is hitting for power. Six of his eight hits so far have gone for extra bases, and he has a .233 ISO. For just the second time in 14 games, Reese McGuire went without a hit, going 0-for-4. He did draw a walk, extending his streak of reaching base safely to 14 games. Wei-Chung Wang combined for two earned runs in 16.1 innings over his last four starts. Today he struggled, giving up five earned runs on six hits in three innings. Four of those runs came in the third inning.
