Less than 24 hours after the mixed martial arts world discovered Stephan Bonnar (Pictured) and Dave Herman flunked post-fight drug tests, both for the second time under the promotion’s watch, the UFC issued a statement regarding their stance on banned substances.
Here is what was posted on UFC.com Saturday:
“Stephan Bonnar and Dave Herman tested positive for banned substances...
On November 2, 2012 it was reported that Stephan Bonnar and Dave “Pee Wee” Herman had failed their UFC 153 post-fight drug tests. Bonnar failed due to testing positive for Drostanolone, an anabolic steroid. While, Herman tested positive for marijuana metabolites.
Both Bonnar and Herman have failed drug tests previously.
