Hawk Harrelson flips out after Jose Quintana was tossed (Video)

Hawk Harrelson is widely despised among non-White Sox fans for his over-the-top homer calls for the White Sox on TV. Even though we’re fully prepared to hear nothing but a biased perspective from Hawk, he still manages to stun us with his sports talk radio caller-like meltdowns on a regular basis. Take for example what happened on Wednesday. Sox pitcher Jose Quintana threw behind...

Paul Konerko and Father Time

Paul Konerko is one of the best hitters in baseball. While he’s rarely mentioned among players like Josh Hamilton, Matt Kemp or Ryan Braun, Konerko has been a an important presence in the middle of the Chicago White Sox lineup. In fact, this season, he leads the American League with a .489 wOBA and a .399 batting average. What’s even more amazing about Konerko’s success is...

Pierzynski Is Still A Piece Of Garbage

A.J. Pierzynski is an A-Hole. No, that is not news. Everyone knows that he is a dirty player. Everyone also knows that he makes a fool out of himself by talking trash like a Jersey Shore toolbag. Pierzynski added a new chapter to his dirty tactics this week, when he intentionally spiked Tampa Bay Rays second baseman, Ben Zobrist, on Wednesday. Here are a few screen grabs of the “slide”…...

Fans Pants Fall Down at Rays vs. White Sox Game Going for a Foul Ball (Video)

So you would think fat guys would wear belts these days but it's just not the case.  Seriously I think more than half on the fat guys in the world just don't own belts.  The belly fat just pushes the pants right down off the hips and the pants have no chance.  Not sure why they do it.  In this case it was a guy going for a foul ball at the Rays vs. White Sox game last...

Hawk Harrelson Freaks Out About Umpire Mark Wegner After Puzzling Ejection in White Sox Game (Video)

Hawk Harrelson is one of the most spirited TV broadcaster in all of baseball, and he's also a bit of a homer. He's also been around baseball forever, so he's a thing or two about the game. All of those things came together Wednesday afternoon, and the result was a big-time explosion from the White Sox broadcaster. Home plate umpire Mark Wegner decided to eject Jose Quintana...

Hawk Harrelson Gives Us Another Broadcasting Lowlight

Chris Sale’s Dominant Memorial Day

Three weeks ago, it looked like Chris Sale would no longer be starting games for the Chicago White Sox. Yesterday, he struck out over half the batters he faced in 7.1 innings. It’s been an interesting year already for the sinewy blue chip. Sale, 23, had immediate success in moving to the starting rotation after spending the entirety of his two major league seasons overwhelming...

White Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson nearly implodes

And no, it isn't the 1st time the bombastic and slightly off-kilter former player, current color commentator and blatant homer Ken "Hawk" Harrelson has gone off script. The subject of Harrelson's ire: The back end of a "Hit-by-pitch" fest at Thursday's Tampa Bay Ray/White Sox game. The said incident happened as a follow up to A.J Pierzynski getting...

Hawk Harrelson’s EPIC anti-umpire rant today (video)

You know what a ridiculous homer and quirky public speaker Chicago White Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson is (see here). That’s not news. And you know how much vitriol he has for the umpires- this isn’t a breaking development either. (See this Joe West rant) But today, he truly out-did himself in both categories. What happened today versus the Tampa Bay Rays is one of the most entertaining...

White Sox surge into first place; why they’re here

For the first time since the last day of the 2010 season, when the White Sox finished the year 88-74, the team is six games over .500 at 28-22. The 7-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays yesterday, coupled with the Cleveland Indians loss, brought them into first place. For a team that many MLB publications predicted to lose 90 or more games this year, being in first place with June just...
