Looks like the 49ers quarterback carousel has finally come to a stop:
The 49ers intend to release QB Seneca Wallace and will not play him tonight, league source says.

That Kaepernick fella will stir the drink that is the Niners offense. That leaves Colt McCoy as the back-up and seventh-rounder BJ Daniels presumably as the third-string/we’re-screwed-if-this-guy-is-taking-snaps quarterback. Scott Tolzien was asked to clean out his locker earlier this week.
Wallace signed with the 49ers last week. He didn’t make the trip down to San Diego for Thursday’s final preseason game.
So, what’s next for Wallace? Well, perhaps whatever the hell this means:
QB Seneca Wallace told the 49ers this morning that he's decided to walk away, and they're determining how to phrase the transaction
