((HT: WAGA/MyFoxAtlanta))FOX 5's Buck Lanford learned Thursday that former Braves pitcher Tom Glavine ((pictured, thanks Fox5)) will not pitch for a Major League Baseball ball club or do anything in baseball during the 2009 season. In a text message Glavine said he is not retiring, just not pitching this season. Glavine, who was released by the Braves on June 3, left open the possibility of pitching elsewhere this season.In a text message Glavine said, "I'm not going to pitch or do anything in baseball until at least next year."However, Glavine did leave open the possibility of being involved in baseball broadcasting this season if the opportunity presented itself.
