PLAYERS: James Singleton
TEAMS: Atlanta Hawks
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Knicks will sign power forward/center, Solomon Jones, for the remainder of the season. The 6-foot-10 big man has played a total of 268 games in the NBA on four different teams (Hawks, Pacers, Hornets, Clippers) – most notably playing for the Atlanta Hawks who drafted him in 2006. He averaged 2.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in three seasons with the team from 2006-09. He most recently played for the Liaoning Flying Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association where he averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds this year. This means the reported deal with James Singleton likely fell through.
