Addazio, a Connecticut native, went 13-11 in two seasons with the Owls since taking over for Al Golden in Philadelphia.

A day after football coach Steve Addazio departed for Boston College, it was much brighter news for Temple University on the hardwood when the Owls’ men’s basketball team improved to 6-0 with a 76-61 victory over Villanova.
Trailing by four at the half, Temple started the final 20 minutes on an 18-2 run and didn’t allow a Wildcat field goal until after 10 minutes had elapsed after the break.
