Last week the Detroit Pistons turned heads by trading three players including Brandon Knight to Milwaukee for point guard Brandon Jennings who’ll eventually sign a three-year $24-million deal to play home games at the Palace. So the Pistons are done making moves right? Right? Not so fast at least according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. He suggested in Sunday’s paper that the Jennings deal doesn’t close the door on Detroit pursuing Celtics All-Star Rajon Rondo.

Detroit media continues to float absurd trade offers for Rondo

The Detroit Free Press is in love with Rajon Rondo. Their love is so deep and passionate, they think the Pistons can acquire Rondo for a bouquet of flowers and expiring contracts: However, there will be many suitors for Rondo, who averaged 13.7 points, 11.1 assists and 1.8 steals, if he wants out. The Pistons could be one of the teams interested in acquiring him even after acquiring...

Celtkicks: Rajon Rondo Nike Hyperposite p.e.

An absolutely sick pair of Rajon Rondo Nike Hyperposites recently surfaced on EBay. These Nike basketball shoes, which blend a sleek hoops shoe with a high-tech foamposite, were made specially for #9. Unfortunately, due to last year’s injury, he never got to rock them. They sold on EBay for just under $1000. Rondo wore the Hyperposites last year, most notably a sweet mint green...

Report: Pistons could eventually try to use Brandon Jennings to acquire Rajon Rondo

It's the middle of summer, and to be honest..the Celtics hot stove has cooled quite a bit. Pierce, KG and Doc are long gone, the draft seems like ages ago, and the Celtics had their quietest free agency period in years. It has basically become a waiting game. Waiting to see if the team makes a salary cap cutting deal prior to training camp. Waiting to see if Rajon Rondo is healthy...

Rajon Rondo Player Profile

Playing just 38 games last year due to a an unfortunate season-ending ACL injury in January vs the Hawks, Rajon Rondo still managed to do enough to leave fans and teammates itching for more. In the first nine games of the 2012-2013 season, Rondo had two games of 20+ assists. Rondo went on to tie John Stockton for the second-longest span of double-digit assist games (37). He even...

Detroit Pistons Still Chasing Rajon Rondo?

The Detroit Pistons made their latest big acquisition earlier this week, scoring guard Brandon Jennings from Milwaukee in a sign-and-trade deal. That move seemed to close the door on the Pistons’ rumored pursuit of Boston point guard Rajon Rondo, but … maybe not. Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reported that the Pistons might still be in the market for the Celtics’ point...

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
