Photo via @brybboone When Ricky Seals-Jones announced his commitment to Texas A&M, there was a lot of hype that came along with it — he was one of the most sought after recruits in the country. In fact, his parents reportedly refused upwards of $600k for his commitment (obviously would have been a MAJOR NCAA violation). In limited plays so far this season, Seals-Jones has lived up to the hype. While only recording 3 receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown, he has still managed to turn heads with his unbelievable athleticism. But unfortunately for the Aggies, his season may be over. Yesterday, Kevin Sumlin said on his radio show that there was a possibility that Seals-Jones would be medically redshirted, due to the ongoing knee injury that forced the true freshman to miss the Sam Houston State game as well as limit his action in the Alabama game this weekend. Per Sumlin: “He was in there a little bit (against Alabama), but his knee is kind of bothering him, and we’re going to do what’s best for him. He’s injured and he tried to go a little bit on Saturday and it’s still not right. So we’re looking at it from a medical standpoint…he’s either going to play up to a certain point in time, which is now, or he gets a medical redshirt. That’s an ongoing conversation at this point. We’re doing everything that’s right for him because he is a special talent. For him to lose a year if something is not correct and he’s not comfortable…we’re not going to do that.” This would certainly be a big loss for the A&M offense given his talent and developing chemistry with Johnny Manziel. We’ll keep you updated on the situation.  [San Antonio Express News]
