ESPN’s Joe Schad is reporting that Tulane will leave Conference USA and join the Big East in all sports. I haven’t been able to find out exactly when Tulane will be a full member of the league, but I assume it will be next season. Tulane may give the Big East a TV market in New Orleans, but the Green Wave certainly won’t make the league any stronger in football. Tulane hasn’t had a winning record in a decade and finished 2-10 this season. Tulane has been a member of Conference USA since 1995. Tulane is the fifth C-USA school to be uprooted from the Big East. Memphis, Central Florida, SMU, and Houston are set to join the league in 2013. The Big East is now officially Conference USA 2.0
