(Photo by: Predators.com) Nashville Predators forward Rich Clune was fined $1,452.70 by the National Hockey League Wednesday night for his hit from behind on Colorado Avalanche forward Aaron Palushaj Monday afternoon.  At 12:32 in the first period, Clune was given only a minor for his vicious hit-from-behind on Palushaj. Clune did not let up anytime before he made contact with the Avs forward. Luckily for Clune and the Predators, Palushaj picked himself up without any problem. However, if Palushaj was down on the ice and struggled to get up, Clune could have been given a major, misconduct and possible suspension. According to the NHL, "the fine money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund." The Nashville left winger has played in 16 games this season and has one goal and 33 penalty minutes to show for it on the fourth line.
