Rich Peverley said he wasn’t feeling great before the physical that showed an irregular heartbeat but said the treatment has worked well and he expects no further problems. “A couple of days last week I was feeling a little bit like my heart was racing.” he said. “I think people hear it’s a heart thing and they think it’s life-threatening. It’s not. Normal people have it and they can go through daily life.” Peverley 31 got treatment from a specialist in Cleveland and is on blood thinners now. He said he expects a full recovery and also said he should be able to play without any issues once he returns to games sometime in early October. “I’m not really worried about it” he said. “I’m on medication to help me and if it does come back it’s not a career threatening thing. I can play through it and there are other things I can do to help me.” Peverley skated with his teammates Tuesday for the first time since he found about the problem.
