Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is a certified loudmouth who has gained his reputation around NFL circles — players, media, fans — thanks to on-field antics, as well as alleged off-field transgressions. What people often forget is that Sherman is also a very motivated fifth-round pick out of Stanford, who can be rather eloquent at times (Sherm refers to himself as an “enlightened person”).
In case you missed it, Sherman has hopped on board with Peter King’s MMQB with a column titled “In This Corner”. He only has three entries so far, but the small body of work is strong enough that we suggest adding it to your NFL blog rotation — if only to gain a perspective of the NFL from one its most outspoken, and probably misunderstood players.
Today, Sherman expounds on the effects of cutting a veteran teammate. In this case, Pro Bowl fullback and fan favorite Michael Robinson, whom the Seahawks cut last Friday. Sherman is quick to point out he only played with Robinson for two ye...
BEST OF MAXIM
Here’s an interesting look into what makes Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas such great players. Both members of Seattle’s famous “Legion of Boom”, Sherman and Thomas teamed up with the Sport Science crew to examine their athletic abilities in an attempt to figure out why they are so successful. Definitely an interesting video worth watching.
Even though the Seattle Seahawks have already indicated that defensive end Chris Clemons will not play in this week’s season opener, he will practice on Wednesday, according to head coach Pete Carroll, per ProFootballTalk.com.
“We’re really excited about that. He’s had a great preparation to get back, and it’ll be light on Wednesday, but he’s been really busting it...

Fantasy Football - Seattle Seahawks Week 1 predictions
The 2013 NFL season is finally upon us, and for the Seattle Seahawks it brings with it a mountain of expectations. That said, there are only a few sure-fire Fantasy starters on the roster. Marshawn Lynch as always is a must-start with the defense projecting to be a top 10 unit in Week 1, but...
Seahawks announced their preliminary eight-man practice squad for the 2013
season on Monday, according to ESPN.com's Terry Blount. As expected, Seattle
had several players poached off of waivers from other teams before they could
get signed to the practice squad. For example, the Kansas City Chiefs claimed
tight end Sean McGrath, defensive back Ron Parker, and defensive...
Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner was a surprise limited-participant in
practice on Wednesday due to a strained hamstring, according to ESPN.com's Terry Blount. Browner played in all four of Seattle’s preseason games without any
problems. This particular injury popped up somewhat mysteriously leaving his
availability for this weekend in question. It is possible head...
Seahawk wide receiver Percy Harvin hinted at a possible week 7 return this week
on Twitter, according to NFL.com's Marc Sessler. Harvin’s official Twitter
account read “keep an eye on week 7” when referring to his progress. The former
University of Florida playmaker has been sidelined with a torn labrum after
being acquired by the Seahawks this past offseason. Many...
The loss of Percy Harvin to a torn labrum before he ever played a snap for the Seahawks was a big one though it wasn't necessarily a season-wrecking one. After all Seahawks football is defense + Marshawn Lynch. Plus Percy was likely going to come back eventually.
But could his return be even sooner than expected? Harvin threw a wrinkle everyone's way on Wednesday afternoon...
WR Percy Harvin, DE Cliff Avril, DE Michael Bennett, DT Tony McDaniel, CB Marcus Trufant, RB Christine Michael (draft), DT Jordan Hill (draft), NT Jesse Williams (draft), CB Tharold Simon (draft), TE Luke Willson (draft)
QB Matt Flynn, OT Frank Omiyale, DT Alan Branch, DT Jason Jones, OLB Leroy Hill, KR Leon Washington
Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin tweeted Wednesday that fans should "keep an eye on week 7."Fantasy Spin:Harvin informed the public that he is "making serious progress" in his recovery from hip surgery. While it's unlikely Harvin will be back immediately after his stay on the PUP list ends, fantasy owners should target him late in drafts because he could very...
Sherman and Browner (@Seahawks)
With this current secondary, the Seattle Seahawks can boast one the greatest defensive units of all time but on one condition: they must win a Lombardi trophy. Legacies matter in sports, especially football, so if Seattle, particularly their safeties and corner backs wish to enter the pantheon of NFL legend and pigskin lore, a Super Bowl ring,...
Prediction: 1st in division (13-3 overall)
Strengths: The 12th man. The Seahawks are just brutal to play at home. Defense gave up just over 11 points per game last season at home. They didn’t lose a game at home either. Oh and Marshawn Lynch is a beast. Russell Wilson is a stud. And Pete Carroll just loves winning.
Causes for concern: Not too many causes for concern...
