Rob Parker…remember that name? He used to be a regular on ESPN’s First Take alongside Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.
A few months ago, Parker made some comments about whether or not Robert Griffin III was “a brotha or a cornball brotha”. These comments were extremely controversial, and ESPN ended up firing Parker just days after they were made. (comments after the jump)
Earlier this morning, NBA center Jason Collins admitted to being gay. He is the first professional athlete to still be playing and come out as a homosexual.
Jason Collins coming out is not the issue. The issue here is what Chris Broussard said in an interview this morning on ESPN’s Outside The Lines. (comments after the jump)
My first reaction after hearing Parker’s comments was, “Wow, this guy is an idiot. I can’t believe he actually said that on air.”

It seems like Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, is doing his best to assure fans that he will be ready for the start of next season.
Griffin, who had surgery to repair a torn ACL and LCL in January, appeared at FedEx Field for the Redskins draft day party and seemed to be walking very comfortably, even doing jumping jacks to prove that he’s alright.
Robert Griffin III is a fast healer, and all signs point to him being ready to start game one of the NFL regular season against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Saturday during a mini draft party/pep rally, Griffin III did jumping jacks for the fans and excited his the fan base. During the meet and greet, Griffin III was asked about his favorite moment from his awesome rookie season?
