IRVING , Texas -- Morris Claiborne became emotional seconds after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell called his name Thursday night. But the No. 6 overall pick took things to another level when Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made his first phone call to the 5-11 cornerback from LSU. After speaking with Jones for about 15 seconds, which included the owner calling Claiborne "the best defensive player in the draft," head coach Jason Garrett spoke briefly before handing the phone over to defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Throughout the entire one minute and 20-second call, which was posted on the team's official site, Claiborne was sobbing and reduced to 10 responses of, "Yes, sir." As expected, Ryan had the most colorful interaction. Immediately after asking Claiborne how he was doing, Ryan responded with the following. "I'm doing better than you are now, believe me," Ryan said. "I'm so excited to get you out here. It's going to be fantastic. I had some good dreams last night but not this good. This is fantastic, believe me. I'm so excited for you young man. "I can't tell you how excited we are to get you here with Dallas. This is the best place in the world to play. I know you've been in this stadium before, but this place is going to be home." -- Follow Jon Machota on Twitter: @jonmachota
