For the third consecutive game, the Dallas Cowboys tried to get the ball to wide receiver Roy Williams in the opening possession. For the first time, it worked. Williams got inside cornerback Asante Samuel on a slant pattern and had a 21-yard catch on a third-and-eight play. Before this, quarterback Tony Romo had been only 2-of-12 on third-down throws to Williams.
