Eagles safety Nate Allen is having lingering knee soreness in his comeback from pateller tendon surgery according to Geoff Mosher of the Wilmington News Journal.
Allen told reporters Monday there are “good days and bad days” and that he might have initially thought he was further along in his comeback from patellar tendon surgery than he actually is.
Allen and Kurt Coleman have started while second-round pick Jaiquawn Jarrett is gradually integrated into the defense.
On his weekly WIP radio show, coach Andy Reid said Page and Allen split reps on the first team in practice.
“I think we’re good at the safety position,” Reid said. “Nate is coming off knee surgery, so we’ve kind of eased him back in and given Page some reps and they’re kind of doing their thing.”
