Running back Deshawn Wynn is being promoted to the New Orleans Saints' active roster from their practice squad today, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Pierre Thomas is questionable with an ankle injury, so the Saints needed to add some depth behind him to work in behind Chris Ivory and Ladell Betts. Wynn was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL draft after playing collegiately at Florida. Wynn rushed for 2,077 yards and 25 touchdowns at Florida, but battled injuries with the Packers. He finished his rookie season with 203 yards and four touchdowns, but finished the year on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
