ULR Samurai International has named a strong all-star side for the next weekend’s Middlesex Sevens.

As previously reported by UR7s, former England teammates Ben Gollings and Simon Amor are reunited in a squad that will be directed by former England Sevens coaches Mike Friday and Simon Amor.

In a major coup for the tournament, Manager Terry Sands has been able to bring in Kenyan stars Collins Injera and Humphrey Kayange as well as South Africa IRB World Sevens Series winners Ryno Benjamin, Marius Schoeman, and Chase Minnaar. Australian Sevens internationals Willy Bishop and the experienced Tim Walsh are flying in to add further stardust to the side.

Talented youngster Julien Palmer, who was part of the Samurai side that won in Manchester, is also included and will be out to show why Gordon Tietjens has added him to the New Zealand Sevens training squad. Another youngster in the side is the Scottish Michael Fedo. England Sevens veteran Tony Roques, currently coaching at Launceston, is also included in one of Samurai’s most exciting squads ever assembled.
