If you follow the recruiting chatter (or simply read this blog on a regular basis—thank you for that, by the way) then you know Shaq Wiggins has been a handful for the Georgia coaching staff lately. Even though the Sandy Creek High School defensive back has been on Georgia’s verbal commit list for quite some time, it was beginning to look a little sketchy as to whether he’d...
Georgia Bulldogs: Ken Malcome’s Transfer Hurts and Maybe Helps Georgia
This story should not come as a surprise to too many people as Ken Malcome has tussled with the idea of transferring once before, but this time his decision is sure to stick. In mid-December, there was some chatter about Malcome’s continuing unrest in Georgia’s backfield; It was clear then that he wasn’t happy with the division of playing time amongst the running backs, and...

I try real hard not to get into disputes with fans who don’t share my opinion on the direction of Georgia footbl. My philosophy is a simple: we can agree to disagree without all that nasty name-calling. Besides, this is a modest little sports blog, written by a woman who has done nothing more than profess her love for Georgia football…ad nauseum. I’ve never coached, managed...
Georgia Bulldogs: Day Two, Still Nothing Solid, The Wait Continues
Do you like playing games? No, seriously, do you like playing games? Well, let me tell you, I love playing them—sometimes on a regular basis—and it doesn’t matter if it’s Scrabble, Where’s Waldo, Bingo or Words With Friends, I’m down to have a little good-natured fun during my downtime; it keeps me sane when things start to get a little stressful. That said, you know...
Georgia Bulldogs: Dear Todd, Talk, Tweet, Do Something!
Unless you’re sleeping in a hammock on Mars, you’ve heard that Georgia Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham has been targeted by new Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly to take over the same position for his staff. Grantham is apparently Kelly’s first choice because he wants the Eagles to move away from the 4-3 to a 3-4; Dan Quinn, current defensive coordinator for the Florida...
2013 Shrine Game: East Practice Notes for Wednesday
Just uppers today, the practice session for myself drifted more towards quarterbacks, receivers, and defensive backs.
It was an impressive showing for Emory Blake, Devin Taylor, Robert McCabe, Branden Smith, and Brandon McGee today.
Quarterbacks
-Nathan Stanley has shown the best arm and the most consistency of any quarterback here, and there’s a lot to like...
