Rants: Ryan Dempster- his hit on ARod woke up a sleeping Giant in the Yankees and fuled their recent run of wins. Even his own teammate David Ortiz said that hitting ARod with that pitch wasn’t the right thing to do. Ouch!
Rants:Philadelphia Phillies for firing Charlie Manuel- he is the winningest manager in recent memory and this was only his first real bad season in 9 years with this team. Most of this season players were either hurt or have underachieved. To make it worse the team is heavy loaded with big contracts to all it’s stars and already gave Chase Utley a new extension going forward. SO how is this team’s failures this season the manager’s fault?
Rants:Von Miller for getting suspended 6 games for PED use, and then say he didn’t do it. Huh? Then why agree to the suspension? Football players don’t catch the same grief about their PED use like the Baseball players do. But those 6 games are costly for the Denver Broncos who believe they are Super Bowl contenders. It will put even more pressure on Peyton Manning and the offense to really carry the team.
Raves:Chip Kelly for naming Michael Vick his starter. There wasn’t much doubt that Vick would start, if it were not going to happen they would have sent Vick packing a long time ago. But by naming Vick his starter he is giving Vick a fresh start.
Raves:Chris Davis Last season Davis hit 33 home runs this season he has 46 and counting proving that last year was no fluke or one shot season. He is a legit MVP canidate and legit homerun threat. Davis has 46 HRS which leads the American League by six, 116 RBI seven behind Miguel Cabrera while batting 306. Wonder if the Texas Rangers wish they had not traded Davis back in 2011.
Raves: Buck Showalter Orioles Manager:Since arriving in Baltimore in 2010 all Buck as done is win, and restored pride back in the Orioles and took the focus off the craziness of Peter Angelos (Baltimore Owner) and put for the focus back where it belongs on winning.

Boston Red Sox right-hand pitcher, Ryan Dempster, was suspended by MLB for five games and fined an undisclosed amount on Tuesday for hitting New York Yankees third baseman, Alex Rodriguez, with a pitch on Sunday at Fenway Park.
Dempster was the first pitcher to be accused of throwing at A-Rod following his 211 game suspension in the Biogenesis scandal.
Dempster denied it was intentional...
Keep your enemies closer.
David Ortiz feels that the intentional hit Ryan Dempster took at A-Rod has gone on to backfire.
Per NBC Sports:
“I didn’t like it,” Ortiz told USA Today. “I don’t think it was the right thing to do.
“But we don’t all think alike, and the guy who did it, Dempster, is a great guy.
“It’s not that I didn’t think it was right because Alex...
Ryan Dempster's fines and pseudo suspension dominated Boomer & Carton today. Robert Wuhl, best known for his "The Dating Game" appearance in 1965 (filling in for Esiason), said of the hit by pitch and subsequent fans cheering: "And by the way when did people start cheering cause somebody got hit by a pitch? Is this the same Boston that just had a tragedy with...
This may actually hurt A-Rod more than Ryan Dempster’s fastball to his ribs.
According to a story via ABC Eyewitness News, the owner of a Brooklyn bodega, says that he is going to change the name of the establishment that he named after the embattled New York Yankees third baseman, because of the incessant complaining of his customers.
Owner Ricardo Rodriguez tells the Daily...
The Alex Rodriguez haters would agree that A-Rod’s beaning at the hand of Red Sox pitcher Ryan Dempster Sunday night was some fitting vigilante justice.
Don’t count Sox slugger David Ortiz among them.
Big Papi had some interesting comments Thursday, telling USA Today Sports,
"I didn't like it. I don't think it was the right thing...
With the Tampa Bay Rays just one game behind the Red Sox, the boys from Boston can’t stand to lose any unnecessary ground.
The Red Sox-Yankees rivalry hit a fever pitch Sunday when embattled Yankees star Alex Rodriguez stepped up to the plate against Ryan Dempster. The Sox pitcher did his best to send a message to A-Rod, tossing one ball behind him, two inside and one eventually...
Ryan Dempster received near universal praise after he intentionally plunked Alex Rodriguez with a 3-0 pitch Sunday night at Fenway Park, and though the Yankees almost certainly disagree, there are many who feel Dempster should have never received the five-game suspension later handed down by Major League Baseball.
But on Wednesday, just hours after news of Dempster's compulsory...
David Ortiz doesn’t get what all the fuss is about.
Ortiz rubbed some people the wrong way earlier this week when he told USA Today Sports that he didn’t think that Ryan Dempster drilling Alex Rodriguez during Sunday’s Red Sox-Yankees game was the right thing to do. Ortiz still stands by his comments, but he also thinks that everyone is blowing the whole situation out of proportion...
I saw this article earlier this morning and nearly spit out my coffee -- Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz has said some very shocking (and I mean shocking in a good way!) about Alex Rodriguez! In an interview with USA Today Sports, not only did Ortiz criticize teammate Ryan Dempster's strategy of throwing at A-Rod, but Ortiz suggested that the reason MLB was going so hard after...
The latest entry in the long-running series in which Brian Cashman discusses the current state of the New York Yankees. With his headwarmer.
Cashman: I’ve been thinking a lot about Dempster hitting A-Rod.
Headwarmer: Thinking? That’s not like you, Bri.
Cashman: It just doesn’t make sense to me. A-Rod has been living in his own reviled bubble for so long. Why would the Sox want...
Ryan Dempster wants to put Sunday’s A-Rod debacle behind him, serve his suspension and move on. It’s easier said than done.
Alex Rodriguez isn’t going anywhere for now, and until he’s forced to serve a suspension, neither is the circus that accompanies him. Rodriguez is going to be under a microscope for as long as he’s playing, which is something that those in the Red...
