PLAYERS: Jairus Byrd
TEAMS: Buffalo Bills
Queen City Sports has learned that Buffalo Bills free agent safety Jairus Byrd is in Buffalo. The reason for his visit is unknown at this time, but, according to the source, he did have paperwork in his hand. One could venture to guess that he is in town for contract discussions. But any and all guess would be just that, a guess. Byrd was designated as Buffalo’s franchise player in March, but has yet to sign his one-year tender. He is looking for a long-term contract that will make him one of the highest paid safeties in the NFL. The team has until July 15 to sign Byrd to a multi-year contract before having to wait until next offseason to begin long-term negotiations once again.   The post Source: Jairus Byrd In Town appeared first on Queen City Sports.

  • The Bills are too cheap to sign any of their home grown players. Byrd will leave just like Levitre, Jason Peters, Demetrious Bell, etc. Ralph is the cheapest owner in all of sports. The Bills are the laughing stock of the NFL. A joke for a franchise. Last place again.
