Ohio University head coach Jim Christian is expected to be the next head coach at Boston College. Christian and Boston College are "close" to finalizing a deal, sources tell FOX Sports Ohio's Zac Jackson. The two parties have been negotiating details of a contract for the past 48 hours. The Eagles fired Steve Donahue, who went 54-76 in four seasons as BC's head guy. Christian took the Bobcats job in 2012 and led Ohio to a share of the MAC regular season title that year. He compiled a 49-22 record in two seasons in Athens. The all-time winningest coach in MAC history, Christian finished under .500 overall in a four-year stint with TCU. Christian has brought two of his squads to the NCAA Tournament as head coach of the Kent State Golden Flashes in 2005-6 and 2007-8. His roots in the Boston area go back to his college days where he played two seasons at Boston University before transferring to the University of Rhode Island.
