St. John’s will be without their head coach tomorrow night when they travel to the KFC Yum! Center to take on Louisville. Steve Lavin will not travel with the team due to the death of his father,  Albert “Cap” Lavin, who passed away on Sunday morning. Lavin missed the Syracuse game on Sunday when he flew home to San Francisco to be with his family. Red Storm assistant Rico Hines will coach in Lavin’s place tomorrow night. St. John’s is 15-9 overall and 7-5 in Big East play. After a rough start to the season, the Red Storm have really come on as of late, winning six of their last eight games.
