Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman is looking forward to his 4th year with the team after such a dismal 2012. "It was a tough season coming off of a lot of injuries,” Redman said via the Star Ledger. “I was really looking for this season to be a breakout year, but it was derailed a little bit with ankle and hip injuries.” He was in and out of the starting role last season, but did get some opportunities to show his vast potential, especially in Week 7 vs. the Giants. Redman rushed for 147 yards on 26 carries, his season-best. “I had a big game against them,” he said. “The ankle injuries were prior to that. I basically played that game with two sprained ankles and performed at a high level. I was fine after that, I just never got the opportunity to be the every-down back after that.” He now finds himself in a comfortable position as he is scheduled to be a restricted free agent come March with team likely to keep him aboard, saying “I felt comfortable for pretty much the past two years... This year coming in, I felt that there was a little more pressure with the situation in training camp. But as far as me feeling comfortable with the offense and the organization, I felt pretty good there the past two years.” “I feel like I did pretty well,” he said. “I had the same amount of carries, my receiving yards went up a lot. I feel like I did make some kind of progress.
