Somebody Needs To Get Steelers Rookie QB Landry Jones A Terrible Towel, Pronto!

The first OTA session of the 2013 season for the Pittsburgh Steelers will get underway on Tuesday and I sure do hope that somebody gets rookie quarterback Landry Jones a Terrible Towel during the week, and more importantly, explains the history of it to him. Why? According to an interview that Jones did last week at the 17th Annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere, he doesn't know much...

Ben Roethlisberger Has “No Doubt” Heath Miller Will be Back by Week 1

Reports continue to say that Heath Miller is walking without a limp and a few weeks back Ben Roethlisberger said that Miller was lifting weights. There is still no timetable set on Miller’s return from a major knee injury siffered last season, but the fact that he is walking without a limp is a good sign. The hope is that he could be back by week 1 of the 2013 season, but until...

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger Says They Like Where Offense Is Going Headed Into 2013

Last year at about this time, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was referring to the new offense being installed by then-new offensive coordinator Todd Haley as the "Rosetta Stone Offense." Following the first OTA practice of the 2013 season on Tuesday, Roethlisberger was asked if he feels different about the offense now that he is entering his second year...

Steelers S Troy Polamalu Says Calf Has Bothered Him For Last Four Years

While he might not have shown up in the same shape that he was when he came out of USC many moons ago, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu still looked to be in pretty good shape for the first OTA session of the 2013 season that got underway on Tuesday. However, during his talk with the media following practice, Polamalu revealed that the calf injury that forced him to miss...

Report: Steelers Rookie WR Reggie Dunn Has Yet To Master Catching Punts

On Monday, I posted a few things that I was hoping we would learn from the Pittsburgh Steelers first OTA session of the 2013 season that got underway on Tuesday and one of those items concerned rookie undrafted free agent wide receiver Reggie Dunn, and more specifically, his ability to return punts. It just so happens that Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette posted about...

The Pittsburgh Steelers first OTA session of the 2013 season got underway on Tuesday, and it appears that first-round draft pick, linebacker Jarvis Jones, might have aggravated a hamstring injury that suffered during his March Pro Day, according to a Tuesday evening report by Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was asked about Jones following Tuesday'...

Emmanuel Sanders says slow down with the contract talk: ‘I'm not worried about a contract’

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is happy he’s with the team he started his career with. After the New England Patriots almost plucked him out of the restricted free agent waters, the Steelers showed they wanted him in the fold by matching the Patriots offer, which meant some tweaking of their roster. However, as Sanders continues to prepare for the 2013 season...

Jonathan Dwyer is the Steelers starting running back right now

With Rashard Mendenhall now in Arizona, Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer says the starting job is his to lose right now. “It’s my job right now and it’s up to me whether I want to keep it or not,” said Dwyer, per SteelCityInsider.net. “That’s what I’m going to do. That’s the decision I made at the end of last year, to make sure that I’m ready and make sure I’m...

Pittsburgh Steelers open talks with Emmanuel Sanders for extension

The way Emmanuel Sanders sees things, the Pittsburgh Steelers did what they needed to do to keep him in Pittsburgh.  Sanders, a fourth-year player with the Steelers vocalized his feelings about negotiations that have begun again on KDKA-FM Thursday. Steelers ready to work after bumpy offseason

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has a new motto he'd like his player to follow in 2013: less talk, more work. Pittsburgh slogged through an 8-8 season in 2012, missing the playoffs and leading to several players criticizing the culture in the locker room. It was an unusual development for one of the NFL's most stable franchises, and a trend the Steelers know needs...

Pittsburgh Steelers Potential Breakout Player of 2013: Cortez Allen

The great thing about the NFL is that there are so many positions that every year, there is almost always at least one player who has a breakout year on every team, no matter how good or bad the team is. This is one part in a 32 part segment detailing one potential breakout player for the 2013 NFL season on each NFL team (rookies don’t count). For the Pittsburgh Steelers, that...

What If Worilds Succeeds In 2013?

By Jeremy Hritz James Harrison is gone and is now in the land of the Bungles, apparently motivated by the Pittsburgh Steelers cutting ties with him. In week two of the approaching NFL season, Harrison will get his first opportunity to make his former team still wish they had his services, while Jason Worilds will be hoping to prove that the Steelers made the correct call. Sure...

Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger: We’re going to miss Mike Wallace

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has always been forthcoming with his thoughts.
