First-round draft pick Kendall Marshall has been assigned to the D-League Bakersfield Jam by the Phoenix Suns, the team announced Thursday. The 13th overall pick from North Carolina, Marshall has struggled to earn playing time with the Suns. He is averaging 1.2 points and 5.7 minutes in six games. "I'm trying to look at it as a positive -- a time to get better, get reps up and stay in shape," Marshall told The Arizona Republic. "I don't know if anybody thinks of this as a possibility coming out of college but, for some people, it's part of the process and everybody has to take a different path."
