With Channing Frye expected to be placed on the inactive list, they must trim one more player to get down to the active roster limit of 13.

The Phoenix Suns picked up the 2013-14 contract option for power forward Markieff Morris on Thursday.
The 6-foot-10 Morris, the 13th player chosen in the 2011 draft, averaged 7.4 points and 4.4 rebounds as a rookie last season. He scored in double figures 22 times in the shortened 66-game season. Morris is expected to back up newly acquired Luis Scola this season.

Diogu averaged 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in three preseason games. The former Arizona State player has played 225 games in six seasons in the NBA with Golden State, Indiana, Portland, Sacramento, the Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio, averaging 6.0 points and 3.1 assists.
