It looked bleak for the Titans in the final stages of the fourth quarter. Thanks in large part to running back Chris Johnson, bleak went to bright in an instant. Johnson busted loose for a 19-yard touchdown run with 2:54 remaining to lift the Titans to a 28-21 win over the Rams here on Sunday. In his best game of the season, Johnson rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. The touchdowns were his first rushing scores of the season. With the game tied 21-21, the Rams had the ball with a chance to take control. But defensive tackle Jurrell Casey sacked Rams quarterback Kellen Clemens and forced a fumble that defensive end Derrick Morgan recovered. Johnson scored on the next play and the Titans (4-4) survived a last-gasp drive from the Rams (4-6) and former Titans coach Jeff Fisher. Rams running back Zac Stacy, a former Vanderbilt star, rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. The visitors overcame a pair of interceptions from quarterback Jake Locker,...

Chris Johnson: no running game, no playoffs

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is no fool - he knows he's having a bad year statistically, and knows that without him, his team isn't going very far. 46 carries for 110 yards over four games is telling enough. “If the running game doesn’t get going, this is going to be another non-playoff team,” Johnson said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “But...

Rams' loss to Tennessee cuts deeper than usual for several ex-Titans

ST. LOUIS -- As it turned out, the Titans were more than just another opponent for the St. Louis Rams, at least for those Rams who once played for Tennessee. Defense takes blame for loss to Titans

A week after stuffing the Seahawks' Marshawn Lynch, the St. Louis Rams' defense struggled against the Titans' Chris Johnson. Coach Jeff Fisher tried his best to ease the burden Monday, a day after the Rams (3-6) were victimized by Johnson's best game of the season and allowed 198 yards rushing overall in a 28-21 loss to Tennessee. Titans beat former coach Fisher, Rams 28-21

One last time, Jeff Fisher said it was just the next game on the schedule, ignoring all those familiar faces on the other sideline. Mike Munchak, too, noting he's not one to socialize before games. King Donk’s NFL Betting Picks Week 9

Titans -3 at Rams One of the biggest surprises from last week was the ground production of the Rams against the Seahawks. While projections and common sense told fantasy football players to stay clear of Zac Stacy, he had other ideas running for 136 yards against what was supposed to be a stingy Seattle defense. Unfortunately for the Rams, the rest of the offense wasn’t nearly...
