IRVING - The Cowboys cornerback made the play of the game when he returned a Jake Delhomme interception 27 yards for a touchdown with 5:07 left.
But Newman wasn't tooting his own horn after the game, knowing that he made it only because Steve Smith gave up on the route.
"It was a lucky play on my part, basically," Newman said. "I think anybody on our defense would probably have made that play."
