Tommy Tuberville left Texas Tech to take the job at Cincinnatti back in December, and he left amid some serious scrutiny. As we reported then, recruits and other suggested that Tuberville left and took the job in the middle of dinner.
Tuberville of course denied that it happened that way, and states he was offered the job the following day. Either way, the damage was done.
Per Larry Brown Sports via a site called Viva The Matadors, Red Raider fans came up with an idea to fax Tuberville the menu from 50 Yard Line Steakhouse, the restaurant he reportedly walked out of.
One fan went through with the idea and looked like this.
From: Texas Tech Nation
To: Tommy Tuberville and staff.
MEMO Was thinking of you. . . We will miss you . . . Here is an intent letter to remember us by
Signed XoXXOOxxoo WreckEmTech
I can only imagine what Tuberville thought when he saw this fax come through, instead of a letter of intent.
