New England Patriots
For weeks, we've heard nothing but questions about the Patriots' no-name receiving corps. The doubters were calling for Belichick's head and longing for Deion Branch and Brandon Llyod to come walking back through the door. Four wins and zero losses later, it seems pretty clear that Tom Brady will do just fine this year with the trio of rookies, Edelman, and the returning Gronk and Amendola. Now there's a new quesiton to be asked.
How the heck are the Patriots going to survive without Vince Wilfork for the rest of the season?
It's a good question. It's one that I'm not certain even Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft have the answer to right at the moment. Sure, there's the whole "next man up" and "team defense" angles that are valid for some degree. Joe Vellano and Chris Jones certainly filled in admirably on short notice on Sunday Night and give me some hope that this is just a setback for the Patriost as opposed to a fat...

Not good. He’s likely out for the season.
When New England Patriots defensive lineman went down with an apparent injury during Sunday night's game against the Falcons the general perception in Atlanta by the fans was that he was faking it; trying to throw the Falcons offense out of rhythm.
We now know they were wrong.
The big man was not faking it all. In fact, he ended up blowing out his right Achilles tendon...

Vince WIlfork reportedly tore his Achilles on Sunday and will likely miss rest of season

However, the Patriots suffered significant injuries to multiple players that will affect how the rest of the season plays out.All Pro nose tackle Vince Wilfork left the game in the first series last night with an apparent foot injury. Replacing Vince Wilfork will not be easy, even if the Patriots made it look relatively effortless on Sunday night.
It’s impossible for one player to take the place of the 325-pound behemoth (as listed) in the middle of New England’s defense. There’s no player like him in the league. That’s why the Patriots took a rotational approach once the defensive captain came out of...
If the glum nature of some Patriots fans Monday morning despite a 30-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons the night before didn’t tip people off that New England is going to miss Vince Wilfork, Tom Brady took care of it Monday evening.
Brady chatted with Jim Gray for a radio interview during halftime of Monday night’s game between the Saints and the Dolphins, and he admitted that...
