The Bear calls shotgun
A legacy like Bear Bryant’s is something that should be revered. His likeness and image is something that Alabama fans have long reserved for only the most honorable of places. Given those requirements, it’s only fitting that Coach Bryant be honored in a manner fitting of a man in Alabama of his stature…by being airbrushed into the theme of one of the cars racing at Talladega this weekend.
Legendary Alabama football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant will be riding along this Sunday in the No. 15 Toyota of Clint Bowyer at Talladega Superspeedway.
Bryant’s image has been painted onto the back of the helmet that Bowyer will wear this weekend. It goes along with the paint scheme for the car, which honors the Crimson Tide’s BCS national championship.
