May as well start a new post and hopefully after both sides return from dinner, we will have another negotiation meeting.
Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet reported the NHL is offering a 10 year CBA deal and Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe stated there is an "out" after 8 years.
Any thoughts on that bit of information or on how you feel the negotiations are progressing?
I will be updating this post as news from the CBA talks becomes available..

Monster piece by David Staples:
Former player Nick Kypreos, a Sportsnet broadcaster and staunch supporter of the NHLPA in labour negotations, says NHL commissioner Gary Bettman wants a deal done to end the NHL lockout by Friday.
“Apparently Gary is ready to get a deal done,” Kypreos said. “He wants this thing done Friday. Friday!”
So it's now about two-and-a-half months or so into what should be the 2012-2013 season and there might be, just might be actual progress into NHL CBA negotiations. We know this beause for once there wasn't **** being tossed by one party or another. In fact, we waited longer for Bettman's presser today than the presser actually lasted.
Players-Owners Meetings to resume at 9 am this morning... Board Meeting at 11 am...After that? Who knows.

As we discussed on TSN last night. New faces help, but progress in negotiations is more based on NHL's flex on contractual rights.
