The Eagles Should Go And Get Kenny Britt.

Posted October 07, 2013
I know he's have off field issues, and he's been a major disappointment, but at this point so has our backup receivers. Britt right now would cost the Eagles little to get, and he would already be the second best receiver on the team. Riley Cooper could go back to doing what he does best. Being a bigot and playing special teams. Britt's long athletic build and strength would be a better compliment to The speedy Desean Jackson. I remember that game a few seasons ago when Britt singlehandedly beat the Eagles. Ironically that may have been his last point of greatness. Still his potential far exceeds that of Riley Cooper and sometimes a change of scenery can rejuvenate troubled players. Britt would be a low risk possible high reward value. Roseman needs to make the call, toss up a 6th round pick and bring this kid in.

  • While they're at it, they should look into Jarius Byrd too. Buffalo is open to talks. If it's the price is anything less than a 1st rounder, go for it.
  • At this point the Eagles should consider themselves playoff contenders. They should do whatever is necessary to improve this team. By seasons end so much can change. We saw how last season the Skins rode a seven game confidence ride to the playoffs and could have beaten the Seahawks if RG3 wasn't hurt.
  • I agree with you EZ. We need a capable #2 or #3for that matter. Cooper adds nothing. We are very thin on offense.
  • There is really no excuse to not try and make a deal here. It is an absolute need, they don't want him anymore, and he's a guy with major potential. He will cost little to nothing. This one is a no brainier.
  • We can make some deals and its a glaring issue. Even if we had maclin we still need that physical guy inside and its not Avant or Cooper. Cooper shows me nothing. At least you can use Avant as a #2 and get decent possesion type plays outside. I never liked Avant in the slot. Hes not quick enough.
  • That's what I never understood. Avant may not be the quickest, but he's reliable. I think he should've been the #2 as soon as Maclin went down. At least to me, he's clearly much better than Cooper.
  • I don't think they have confidence in Avant's speed for the outside even though they tried to play him as a defensive back??? Anyways it won't hurt to try and get Britt. Maybe a move closer to home can rejuvenate him, and if he's not much of a setback if he doesn't workout.
