Lynch was the best running back you've never heard of & he plays quarterback. Photo Courtesy: USA Today Sports Six Finalists for the 2013 Heisman Trophy were announced on Monday evening. Crystal Ball Run will be taking a look at each finalist.  Jordan Lynch, Quarterback Northern Illinois  2,676 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 140.8 passer rating; 1,881 rushing yards, 22 rushing touchdowns, 6.9 rushing average If you don't know the name of Jordan Lynch, where have you been for mid-week #MACtion son? Seriously though, let me introduce to you the third leading rusher in the country and his name is Jordan Lynch and he plays quarterback at Northern Illinois University.  Not only is Lynch the third leading rusher in FBS football, he has the exact same amount of yards as fellow finalist A.J. McCarron in the passing game.  Lynch is simply one of the most dynamic and important players to his team's success that we've seen in many a year. By the time Lynch finishes his career against Utah State he is likely to have over 6,000 yards passing and is already over 4,000 yards rushing. Additionally, Lynch will finish his career with over 120 total touchdowns as well.  He set the single-game record for rushing by a quarterback this season against Western Michigan with 321 yards and three touchdowns.  Lynch's Hesiman moment may have come too soon though, as he took his Huskies into Kinnick Stadium and took down a game Iowa team—leading NIU to a last minute victory drive and throwing for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns, while rushing for 56 yards against a very stingy Iowa defense.  The fact that the Huskies lost in the MAC Championship game will hurt his cause, but it shouldn't because his season has been nothing short of amazing.
